Our fast-food, pre-packaged, highly processed diet of today has led to a terribly unhealthy culture. Look at some of the staggering health-related statistics pulled from the CDC:
- 6 in 10 adults in the US have a chronic disease
- 4 in 10 adults have 2 or more chronic diseases
- 1 in 3 deaths are due to cardiovascular disease
- 1 in 3 people will have cancer in their lifetime
- 1 in 4 adults have arthritis
- 37.3 million Americans have diabetes
- 96 million have pre-diabetes
- The life expectancy in the United States is 78.8 years of age, but the Health Adjusted Life Expectancy (HALE) is only 66.1 years of age. That means the average person lives the last 12+ years of their life unable to fully enjoy life because of health-related issues.
There is a better, healthier way to live that can drastically reduce your chances of falling into one of the statistics mentioned above.
